Welcome to the 1960’s, where change is in the air. Lovable, plus-size heroine Tracy Turnblad has a passion for dancing and wins a spot on the local TV dance program. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her hair? The MCCC Theatre and Dance Program and Entertainment Technology students, with some help from their friends at James Tolin Memorial Fund, present this awesome musical! Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the James Tolin Memorial Fund by going back to the show that started it all. Paul Rudnick’s Obie Award-winning romantic comedy follows the title character, a gay actor/waiter has just given up trying to find love in the treacherous HIV/AIDS landscape of 1990s New York when he meets the man of his dreams. (Contains some language not suitable for children.)
